The protagonist of this story is a dog, who in his journey finds Toribio, who adopted the dog and takes it with him, under the name of Neron. Neron, the coward hero of the sory makes Toribio's farm, the sceneario of his adventures, which include a couple of squirrels, a pig, a dead frog, a lizard, saints in processions, a couple of surprises inside a sak, and even a bear!
